Branding + Marketing Materials



As part of a team, I helped design Spokefest’s updated logo, along with marketing materials for their 2021 event, during the American Advertising Federation’s (AAF) event “Create”. Spokefest is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which supports bicycle education, bicycle safety, and promotes the many beneficial uses of bicycles for transportation and a healthy, active lifestyle. They host Spokane’s largest bicycling event every year. During the Create event, I worked in a group with three student designers. I designed the logo and digital graphics, and then acted as art director for the rest of the needed marketing materials. The wheels of the bike in the logo create an “S” for Spokefest and Spokane. The burst around the bike represent a bicycle’s spoke. We chose a color palette that was bright and felt “outdoorsy” without using the classic green of the PNW that is often used with other brands. We also used fun graphics without too much detail to go along with the style of the logo.
